Gbite Adeniji is a specialist with over 30 years’ experience advising a diverse clientele in the oil, gas, electricity, mining and infrastructure sectors on landmark transactions and projects.
He is known for his involvement in several sector reform initiatives in Nigeria’s natural resources and infrastructure sectors and has drafted policies and legislation for the regulation of these sectors.
He was in a member of the Oil & Gas Policy team at the World Bank that advised the Government of Nigeria on the reform and restructuring of the petroleum sector including the development of the Strategic Gas Plan for Nigeria. He was also Counsel on the development of the Nigerian Gas Masterplan and was the Senior Technical Adviser to the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources between 2015 – 2018 during which he advised the Minister on petroleum policy, sector governance and regulation and the reform of the petroleum sector.
He is listed in leading legal directories as one of the World’s leading Oil and Gas lawyers and as one of the World’s leading mining lawyers.
