Torleif Haugland has more than 30 years of experience in energy and environmental analysis, both as staff of national and international governmental institutions, research positions and consultant. He has managed a large number of multi-disciplinary and complex projects on international energy and environment policies, climate change, energy sector liberalization, petroleum industry social responsibility, and development assistance. A main focus of his work over the past 15 years has been on climate change mitigation for the oil and gas industry, including activities related to transactions in emissions allowances and carbon credits, and recently carbon and climate finance schemes emerging under the Paris Agreement. Torleif Haugland is co-founder of Carbon Limits AS and Carbon Limits Nigeria Ltd and is a non-executive director of both companies.
