Brief

The project captures gas that has been flared at the Ovade-Ogharefe oil field in the Niger Delta for more than twenty years. The gas is compressed, treated and injected into the NGC gas system where it provides fuel for electricity generation. The estimated carbon credits from the project are approximately 2 million per year. This is currently the largest registered CDM project in Africa.
